UK Pallet Sizes

Choosing the correct pallet size is the easiest way to ensure a smooth delivery and avoid unexpected surcharges.

Our online pallet shipping services accepts a range of typical pallet dimensions and weights. Whether you are shipping a bathroom suite, garden supplies, or arranging a residential return, we offer flexible pallet sizing to suit any load.

In most cases, our customers already have a pallet, so it’s just a case of measuring the pallet and items on top of it to determine which option to select. You can send the small mini-quarter pallet, all the way up to our XL oversized pallet.

Pallet Dimensions: Measure vertically from the floor (including the height of the wooden pallet itself) to the top of your consignment. Next, measure the sides of the pallet to determine how wide it is.

Total Weight: Include the weight of the wooden pallet base, packing materials, and clear stretch wrap in your gross weight estimation.

How do I choose the correct UK pallet size for my shipment?

Select your pallet size based on both physical dimensions and gross weight. Measure the length, width, and total height (including the wooden base) of your secured shipment, then estimate the combined weight of your goods and pallet. Match these specs against our categories, ranging from Mini-Quarter (up to 150 kg / 60 cm high) to XL Oversized Pallets (up to 1,200 kg / 220 cm high).

What happens if my goods overhang the edge of the pallet?

Goods must fit securely within the perimeter of the wooden pallet base without overhanging. Overhanging items are vulnerable to damage, prevent vehicles from loading safely, and may result in rejection during collection or incur extra size surcharges.

Do I need my own wooden pallet, or can one be supplied?

You are responsible for securing your goods onto a clean, sturdy wooden or plastic pallet before the driver arrives. If you do not have a pallet, you can often source them from local trade yards, industrial sites, or timber merchants.
